Meet the Stylists

At Ume, our team is more than a group of stylists—we’re educators, artists, and visionaries who care deeply about the people in our chairs. Each stylist brings a unique perspective, advanced training, and a passion for sustainable beauty. Together, we create a space where everyone feels seen, celebrated, and styled with intention.

  • Dani is the founder of the salon and brings 15+ years of experience in lived-in hair and hand-tied extensions. Trained at the Aveda Institute Portland Oregon and shaped by years on the West Coast and in Australia, she blends technical skill with effortless style. Now calling Pensacola home, Dani spends her time outside the salon paddleboarding, snuggling her pup, or soaking up the sun in the gulf. She is currently not accepting new clients.

  • Gabby specializes in lived-in color and natural dimension, with a particular love for rich coppers and warm tones. With over 12 years of experience, she approaches every client with intention and care. Born and raised in Pensacola, she spends her days off with her son, by the pool, or at the piano. Gabby is currently accepting new guests.

  • James is a stylist with a love for texture, movement, and dramatic transformations. With five years of experience, he’s known for creating layered cuts and vibrant colors that feel bold yet wearable. A Pensacola local, he loves the beach, a good book, and sipping cocktails at George. She’s currently accepting new clients.

  • Let’s Do This

  • Kristen has been behind the chair for over 12 years and is known for her signature teasylights and soft, dimensional color. Originally from the Gulf Coast, she brings a calm, grounded energy to the salon and loves helping clients feel effortlessly confident. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her at the beach, learning to sew, or shopping for something cute. Kristen is currently accepting new clients.

  • Liz blends Southern charm with NYC training to offer her clients lived-in blondes, grey coverage, and effortless razor cuts. A graduate of Aveda NYC, she brings over a decade of experience to the chair. Outside the salon, she’s often thrifting, painting, or running her vintage booth—and she lives with three cats who rule the roost. Liz is currently taking new clients.

  • Madi is a Pensacola native with a passion for precision—whether it’s lived-in blonding, funky cuts, or her signature bobs. She brings thoughtfulness and creativity to every guest in her chair, and she’s all about the details. Off the clock, she’s paddleboarding, hanging with her husband and their pets, or snapping pics on film. Madi is currently accepting new clients.

  • Marissa is a versatile stylist who’s been in the industry for over 10 years, known for her expertise in color, cutting, and event styling. A Pensacola native raised in San Antonio, she loves bringing a creative, fun energy to everything she does. When she’s not behind the chair, she’s likely traveling, hitting a concert, or cuddling up with her cats. Marissa is currently accepting new clients.
